Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker Review

If you are looking for a higher end bread maker then look no further than the Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker.  Its sleek appearance will stand out in your kitchen as a fine addition.  It offers a variety of choices for your bread making pleasure.

What does “convection” mean?

Maybe you have heard of convection ovens or seen one on an infomercial.  The design is such that heat is allowed to flow all around the food that is cooking.  This allows for quicker and more even cooking of the food in question.  This is just one of the features that are available with the bread machine from Cuisinart.

Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker Features

Watch out because the future of bread machines is here.  The Cuisinart comes with a preset menu of 16 options depending on what you are trying to make.  The options allow you to mix and match your choices for hundreds of bread options.  Do you need to make a gluten-free loaf of bread?  This is one of the 16 options available.  If you want a healthier choice like wheat bread, that is available as well.

Three sizes of loaf are available: one pound, 1 ½ pound and 2 pound loaves.  You can also adjust the color of your crust:  light, medium and dark.

But, bread makers are not just for bread.  You can create different types of dough for baking other types of bread.  There is also a setting for making pizza dough.  You’ll never want to buy from the frozen food section again.  Did we mention that you can make sweet cakes and even jams with this bread maker?

You can also choose from a variety of different settings.  If you don’t want to bake your bread right away, there is a 12 hour delay start timer.  There is even a “bake only” option if you have already made your dough before and just want to bake the bread now.

This bread machine has chimes.  If your recipe calls for fruit or nuts to be added, a chime will let you know the appropriate time for adding those ingredients during the process.  Another chime will let you know when the baking process is about to begin so you have the option to remove the kneading paddle if you would like.

What else?

The Cuisinart Convection Bread Machine will run you about one hundred and thirty dollars ($130).  It has a number of useful features but is it worth the price?

According to customer feedback, you might be disappointed.  Many agree that features like the chime, delay and programmable menu options are great. What about the final product?

Many have had to contend with burned bread.  The convection feature only served to ruin the bread . If the crust is set on the lightest setting, then some success was achieved with the convection feature.  The thickness of the bread pan was not enough to keep the heat from burning the bottom of the bread instead of doing an overall even browning.

This is not a model to set and forget.  You must pay attention to every step in order to gain a satisfactory result.
